Sevier County Gun Club

Who We Are & Our Mission

The Sevier County Gun Club (SCGC) began as a Facebook group in late 2014. Starting with friends and family, it has now grown to 1,300 members as of late 2024. As a group, our common core belief is that we must uphold and practice our Second Amendment rights. We believe that "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

We are a diverse group of gun enthusiasts and educators, and welcome members regardless of race, religion, age, or political affiliation.

SCGC is an interactive, family friendly, and fun group of people that welcomes enthusiasts of all ages and firearm skill levels. Our mission is to create a positive environment for local enthusiasts and gun experts to interact through meet and eats, exclusive indoor and outdoor range events, and continuing education from local law enforcement agencies and firearm associations.

Range Access

• Indoor Range: Buds Indoor Range, Sevierville - Monthly Tuesday shoots (5pm-6:30pm)
• Outdoor Range: Catons Chapel - 150yd rifle, 75yd pistol (April-October)
• Long Range: Thorn Hill - 560yd with steel targets every 100yds (May-September)

Club Rules

• Family-oriented environment
• Spouses and guests always welcome
• NO alcohol at any event

Per Tennessee Code 39-17-1321, it is unlawful to possess a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. Members who may be concealed carrying must remain in compliance with state law.

• All outdoor shoots are supervised by NRA certified Range Safety Officers (RSOs)
• Kids welcome where appropriate

Based on property owner agreements and/or business liabilities.
