The 2nd Amendment. A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

"Now, therefore be it resolved that the Sevier County Board of Commissioners has declared Sevier County to be a 'Second Amendment Sanctuary County'." — 21 Oct 2019. By a vote of 24-0-1.

Who We Are & Our Mission

The Sevier County Gun Club (SCGC) began as a Facebook group in late 2014. Starting with friends and family, it has now grown to over 1,300 members. As a group, our common core belief is that we must uphold and practice our Second Amendment rights.

We are a diverse group of gun enthusiasts and educators, and welcome members regardless of race, religion, age, or political affiliation.

SCGC is interactive, family-friendly, and welcomes enthusiasts of all ages and firearm skill levels. Our mission is to create a positive environment for local enthusiasts and gun experts to interact through meet-and-eats, exclusive indoor and outdoor range events, and continuing education from local law enforcement agencies and firearm associations.

Current Initiatives

  • Monitor and inform members of local and national groups attempting to pass initiatives that impact our 2A rights
  • Monthly and quarterly informal meet-ups
  • Encouraging members to invite friends and family to events
  • Avenues for child and women-only shoots and self-defense
  • Fundraising to support our local community
  • Partnerships with local clubs and groups that support the right to bear arms

Joining the Club

It costs nothing to join! Membership cards are made in-house for $15 (covering materials) and are valid for 2 years. Card holders receive access to all deals and discounts from our affiliated small businesses.

Range Access

  • Buds Indoor Range — Once monthly group shoots
  • Catons Chapel Outdoor Range — Approx. 150 yd rifle / 75 yd pistol & archery (Apr-Oct, supervised group shoots only)
  • Thorn Hill 560-Yard Range — Monthly group shoots, May-Sept

Club Rules

  • Family-oriented — spouses, kids, and guests always welcome
  • NO alcohol at any event, indoor or outdoor
  • Members are encouraged to introduce themselves
